Harry Kreeshna? Never heard of em.
ISKCON’s official news site has come out with an article entitled: Srila Prabhupada was not alone to claim the monlanding [sic] was a hoax — giving ISKCON’s full support to the growing movement looking to expose the Apollo moon landings by American astronauts in the 1960s and 70s as a monumental hoax.
Taking a different tack than the usual “I was probed by an alien Bigfoot in Area 51″ crowd, the Hare Krishna’s in ISKCON believe that Space Ghost, the well known interplanetary superhero and talk-show host, would always prevent anyone from landing on the moon unless “they are qualified” — meaning they must die, become a ghost, and then get their ghost license and ghost passport and ghost visa before being allowed on the moon. Once there, contrary to “demonic modern science,” a lush paradise awaits them where they will spend their time drinking space drinks and smoking space weed.
“Far out man, hey I like their food though” was the response of NASA scientist Dr. Zachary Smith when told about the Hare Krishna moon hoax conspiracy theory. Dr. Smith, a Phd in Cybernetics and a specialist in environmental and intergalactic psychology, was interviewed by Hare Krishna News at the recent unveiling by NASA of the first photos of the remains of the Apollo missions on the moon. For the first time in history a telescope has been close enough to the moon (in a moon orbit vehicle) to actually be able to see and take pictures of the sites where the moon landings occurred.

Don't let this fool you!

Check this out from Satsvarupa Das Goswami, one of the original leaders of ISKCON

What’s so embarrassing about these guys is that there are so many websites dedicated to exposing the colossal failure that is the moon hoax theory. All the evidence that dunces like Payonidhi das aka varahanarasimha and Satsvarupa Das Goswami claim to support a hoax, has been totally and thoroughly refuted for many years now. All they would need to do is a simple web search, moon hoax theory refuted, and then read what they have to say. They would see how ignorant they have looked. Instead they blindly jump on the Prabhupada bandwagon, with ISKCON support, not realizing that his oft quoted phrase (actually comes from the Bible) applies to them: “…everyone is blind. And they are trying to lead other blind men. So what will be the result? All of them will fall down on the ditch.”

Bhagavat pr has more faith in Nasa than Srila Prabhupada and the sastras that state that it is impossible to go the Moon in the hunan body. What he also doesn’t understand is that a significant percentage of Americans DO believe in the lunar conspiracy theory. That’s what surveys showed after Fox TV aired their controversial documentaries some years ago. Now see how conveniently Nasa says that many of the original phots have been misplaced/lost? They just don’t want people to dig deeper.
Lunar Baloney
Where do “the sastras state that it is impossible to go the Moon in the human body?” I’ve never read that or seen any quote from Prabhupada to that effect. He said the sastras state that, but he never gave any source.
There is actually no source in sastras where states that is “impossible to go to the Moon in the human body”. Only Prabhupada was claiming such silly thing . But the reasons for such him statements are the ones that really confusing me. For i can see he was giving to west people the Holy Name and KC and he dedicated his life to it (and for that he got my credit), so all his sexist ,racist and many other ….ist comments and behaviors i still can’t connect with any particular motive or reason. Very sad is that there is many fanatical devotees who still go by some wrong paths totally contrary to sastras . strange ,cos they have the knowledge from years of study and yet they continue the blind following .
Lunar Baloney
1) No statements to that effect in sastra. Even the often quoted SB passage about a Bhudda from a previous kali yuga countering space travel is completely mistranslated.
2) The highest percentage of hoax believers to ever appear from a poll on this matter in the US is 6% — hardly a “significant percentage of Americans.”
3) Fox never aired multiple documentaries. Only one, which was poorly made and never meant to prove a hoax, merely to raise the same lame issues from Bill Kaising et al.
4) NASA never claimed that “many of the original phots [sic] have been misplaced/lost.” What was lost is the original video capture of Armstrong descending to the lunar surface, shot by the on-board boom-camera of the LEM. This footage has been duplicated in full thousands of times over the decades.
NASA would love people to dig deeper, which is why all their material has been in the public domain for the last 30 years. Who really don’t want people to dig deeper are the hoax advocates, otherwise people would find out in no time what the real baloney is. Considering the depth of your adherence to fairy tales, they don’t seem to have much to worry about with you, though.
and you guys wonder why people call hare krishna’s a brain washing cult????i would rather become a scientologist,at least they dont spread trash like this(moon landing conspiriacy theories)
